Is this TV stand supposed to be drilled down into the table surface or does the tv just screw into the stand and rest on the table?

This outdoor tabletop stand will support compatible SunBrite TVs for proper and safe operation by securely fastening it to a stable horizontal mounting surface. The surface mounting hardware is not included and may vary by install type and local building requirements. We recommend consulting with a local professional installer for guidance on installation and local building codes. The stand itself mounts to the TV with a few stainless-steel machine-screws (provided).
