Product Questions
The most common issue is when the TV EDID is set to receive 4K content, but the content source (cable box/media player/DVD player, etc.) is not 4K.
Here are the instructions to set EDID correctly for 1080P HD or 4K UHD content sources on both Veranda Series and Signature Series 4K TVs:
For SunBriteTV Veranda 4K UHD Models
1. With the TV powered on and fully booted up press the Menu button on the SunBrite remote.
2. Scroll down and click on “Input Settings”
3. Scroll down and click on “Set HDMI EDID”
4. Change desired input to the correct format of 1.4 or 2.0
HDMI EDID 1.4 is for 1080P HD source input resolution.
HDMI EDID 2.0 is for 4K UHD source input resolution.
For SunBriteTV Signature 4K UHD Models
1. With the TV powered on and fully booted up press the Menu button on the SunBrite remote.
2. Scroll to the right three times until you are at the “Setup” menu.
3. Scroll down and click on “EDID Switch”
4. Change the value to either “1.4” or “2.0”
HDMI EDID 1.4 is for 1080P HD source input resolution.
HDMI EDID 2.0 is for 4K UHD source input resolution.
Hope this is helpful. Thanks!

Our customers tend to keep their SunBrite outdoor TVs for a long time, replacing them much less frequently than indoor TVs. And let’s face it, the user interfaces from streaming media device makers are almost always much more elegant than built-in streaming offered by TV manufacturers.
We focus on the things that are important to most outdoor TV owners: Safety (Weatherproof), Durability (Powder-coated aluminum exterior), and Performance (brighter than typical indoor TVs). Our outdoor TVs do support the latest 4K and full HD sources with HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 (streaming media players, game consoles, cable boxes and more). Hope this is helpful. Happy outdoor living!
In general, a mantle installed between the fireplace and TV can help reduce heat exposure to the TV. An evaluation by a professional Audio Visual integrator/installer is always a good idea, especially in more challenging installations. Thanks!
